Tziki began with four friends with roots in Athens, Chios, Kefalonia, and Cyprus — and a shared craving: authentic Athenian souvlaki in New York City. So they opened a souvlatzidiko, a Greek souvlaki shop of the kind Athens has run since 1924, on the corner of 7th Avenue and 22nd Street in Chelsea. The same simple, high-quality ingredients we grew up with in Greece.
